Certainly, a significant part of any school's history is the student body itself. On May 31, 2014, I was pleased to have 80 alumni take part in a &quot;welcome home&quot; tour at Lew Wallace. Here we are all gathered on stage for our group picture. Seated in the middle was our honored guests Mr. &amp; Mrs. Vorwald. Mr. V. was my senior year principal. On June 3, three days later, the school board voted to close down Lew Wallace after that spring semester. As an after thought, given the current situation of our beloved school, the tour last year has become even more significant and meaningful. No matter what the future holds for Lew Wallace, we will all have fond memories of her!<br />
